English Country Garden

English Country Garden

This is a scan of a birthday card which I particularly liked.  I computer-printed it onto treated fabric and machine and hand embellished it.

This has given me ideas for computer-generating my own designs and then printing and working on them.  Just have to learn how to do computer designing now!

Embroidery Guild Banner

Banner reverse side

Front of banner

This is my entry for the Milton Keynes Embroidery Guild banner. We were given a piece of bright red fabric and a lettershape. The instruction was to make a fabric letter and attach it to the red fabric, cut into the banner shape. The second side to be decorated with a design and embellishments of your own choice.

Mine is made of peach silk, stamped with sun ,flowers and spirals in orange paint, then machine embroidered.  finally the back and front were joined into the banner triangle.

POPPIES AND DRAGONFLIES

Poppies and dragonflies

Small book cover.

Navy felt background, painted heat and bond applied then the poppy shapes and stems were put in place. I put purple chiffon on top of it all and machine embroidered it down.  I made thorn stitch flowers and dragonflies.

Then burned the chiffon off with a hot air gun.
